Make the audience feel like royalty

Winner of 6 Gold Addy Awards: Interactive Content, User Interface, Innovative Use of Interactive Technology, Data Driven Media, Email, and Illustration

At year’s end, Xbox wanted a way to celebrate its community. So we decided to create unique crests for each of its 16 million players by analyzing their gaming history for the year. While my illustration skills are good, they’re not this good, so we commissioned world-famous artist Jeff Soto to create hand-crafted illustrations that were collated using a custom algorithm to match his art to stats.

The result was a one-of-a-kind crest for every one of the 16 million Xbox gamer across the globe.

As design lead, I developed the concept, configured the layout, worked with the illustrator to dial-in the look, and designed the award-winning interface, landing page, and email experience.
